The route down Highway 1 through Santa Cruz starts off the Monterey tour and features one spectacular view after another. Santa Cruz is the classic beach town where surfing was first introduced to the mainland - and they have been surfing ever since. The tour has scheduled stops including John Steinbeck's Cannery Row, once an industrial street famous for sardines and known for the characters in John Steinbeck's novel "Cannery Row". Find seaside exploration, shopping, and activities on the beautiful shoreline, where its reputation as the hot spot for Monterey is well earned. Your tour will also include a visit to the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium to see all kinds of different ocean life. The Bay Aquarium has nearly 200 award-winning galleries and exhibits. The vista points along the 17-Mile Drive and the art/restaurant district of Carmel is another stop. The one-square mile city of Carmel, located on the Bay of Carmel above the white sand beach, offers a breathtaking view for the last portion of your tour. Crossing from the historic to the futuristic, the return trip takes you through Silicon Valley - the high tech capital of the United States. Tour length is approximately 11 hours. Tour - Trolley Hop Tour
Hop aboard a motorized cable car for a narrated tour of San Francisco! You'll drive through San Francisco's most renowned neighborhoods, including Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, Downtown, and Chinatown. Hop on or off at Pier 39 or 41, Ghiradelli Square, and Union Square to spend free time shopping for souvenirs and snapping photographs! The tour is approximately one hour if you don't "hop off" at the stops. Hop on / hop off privilidges allow you to get off at any stop, spend time exploring, and get back on the next available trolley. Tour times are from 10am to 5:30pm. Tour departs daily from the Gray Line booths at Pier 39 and Pier 41 1/2. In the event of rain the tour may be cancelled or an enclosed vehicle may replace the cable car.
