Tour - Hurricane Katrina Tour
Learn the history of the original city, the French Quarter, and why it was built at its particular location along the Mississippi River. Drive past an actual Levee that breached and see the resulting devastation the displaced thousands of residents. Your tour guide will give a local's chronology of events leading up to the storm and the days immediately following the disaster. This tour travels through neighborhoods such as Lakeview, Gentilly, New Orleans East, St. Bernard, and the Ninth Ward. After this tour you will have a better understanding of events pre and post Katrina and the "Rebirth of New Orleans!" Approximately 3 hours. Daily 1pm.

Tour - Laura, A Creole Plantation
Enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Pontchartrain while crossing the Bonnet Carre Spillway (the flood outlet of the Mississippi River) as you travel back in time to Laura Plantation, an operating sugar farm built in 1805 along the Great River Road. This tour, which has been called "the best history tour in the U.S.", is based upon 5,000 pages of documents found in the French National Archives and upon Laura Locoul Gore's memories, published in "Memories of the Old Plantation Home", in which she details 250 years of true-life stories of the Creole women, slaves, and children who lived and worked here. Laura Plantation boasts 11 historic buildings on the National Register. Tour departs Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 12:30pm. Approximately 4 1/2 hours. Tour departs from Gray Line Lighthouse ticket office at Toulouse St. and the Mississippi River (at the Steamboat Natchez Dock), one block from Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Passengers receive an open voucher with documents that is exchanged for an actual ticket at the Gray Line office. The intended usage date must be booked.
