General Conditions:
All package rates, information and
taxes are subject to change without notice. Prices are not guaranteed
until the reservation is paid in full and you receive a confirmation
e-mail. Continental Airlines Vacations reserves the right to re-invoice
your reservation should an error be made in computing your package
price. Adjustments made to the package pricing will not be made once
full payment has been applied, nor will any subsequent rate reductions
be made retroactive. Prices shown are based on specific days of travel
and are subject to limited availability. Prices may vary based on the
actual date of travel, class of service or hotel booked. The Terms
and Conditions included on this page do not apply to last minute deals
or continental airlines vacations quicktrips. Government-imposed airline
ticket excise taxes are in effect at time of electronic posting. We
reserve the right to amend these rules and restrictions at any time
without notice, and any such amendments shall become effective when
posted on our site.
Suppliers:
Some of the goods and services that you reserve
and purchase through www.covacations.com are being sold to you directly
by the supplier of those goods and services ("Supplier") and not Continental
Airlines Vacations. A Supplier is an airline, hotel, car rental company,
or other provider of goods or services of a particular Continental
Airlines Vacations subject or component. In addition to the Terms and
Conditions contained in the Agreement, your purchases and reservations
are also governed by the terms and conditions of the respective Suppliers.
Any claims that you may have with regard to the goods and services
purchased or reserved through this site must be addressed to the Supplier
and not Continental Airlines Vacations. You expressly release Continental
Airlines Vacations and its subsidiaries from any and all liability
for, resulting from, arising out of, or in any way connected to, any
goods or services contained in any Continental Airlines Vacations service
option
Fees:
A fee may be incorporated in the total price of
a Continental Airlines Vacations for arranging, facilitating and processing
your purchases. You agree to abide by the terms and conditions set
by the Supplier, including, but not limited to, observation of check-in/check-out
times and compliance with all rules and conditions related to rates,
products, or services. Depending on the individual Supplier, frequent
traveler points may or may not be available for any component of a
purchased Continental Airlines Vacations.
Payments:
Payment in full with a credit card is required
to make a reservation. American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover
are accepted. The credit card selected for payment will be charged
for the total price of the reservation. The address requested is the
billing address of the credit card that must be issued to a U.S. billing/mailing
address and issued by a U.S. based bank. The cardholder must be a traveler
listed on the reservation. To provide confirmation of authorized card
use, you may be required by the supplier to present a credit card at
time of check-in, rental or pick up.
Refunds/Revisions:
NO REFUNDS, CHANGES OR REVISIONS:
All purchases made are nonrefundable, unchangeable and non-transferable,
including but not limited to, names changes, hotel choice, and cancellations
due to changes in travel plans, flight delays, early check out of hotel
and no shows. For all cancellations, we require proper notification.
Cancellations MUST be phoned into Continental Vacations Service Desk
at 1 888 834 4435. No refunds will be made for unused, partially used
or complimentary components.
Promotions
and Discounts:
Except for promotions specifically
offered for or by Continental Airlines Vacations, no other promotional
discounts, new member discounts, upgrades, vouchers, coupons, frequent
traveler awards, gift certificates or other discounts or special offers
apply to Continental Airlines Vacations services or any components
thereof.
Not
Included:
Gratuities, meals (unless otherwise noted),
rollaway and/or crib charges, and guest incidentals at hotel, parking,
or ticket media (unless purchased as an option). Destination Departure
Tax, Security Surcharge, Customs Fees, Federal Inspection Fees, APHIS
fee, and general cost of passports and visas and other such fees where
required depending on destination selected. Please contact our Service
Desk for specific taxes and/or fees not included.
Identification:
U.S citizens, 18 years or older, are
required to show government issued photo I.D. Acceptable forms of identifications
include the following: Valid Driver's License, Military I.D., and Valid
Passport. Non-U.S Citizens who are residing in the U.S should carry
their passport, green cards and any other document required for their
U.S. residency. Children under the age of 18 traveling with an adult
are not required to show I.D at time of check-in.
Entry
Requirements:
All destination countries, including the
United States, have travel document requirements for entry. In addition to any
travel document requirements for departure, customers must satisfy travel document
requirements for entry into the destination country and, depending on the
itinerary, for transit through a country. Get specific details by visiting Continental Airlines.

Brazil: Passport and Visa are required. U.S. citizens
must have a passport that is valid for 6 months beyond intended stay.
Chile: U.S. citizens must have a passport that is valid for 6 months
beyond intended stay. Passengers entering as tourists will be charged
a USD 100.00 (in cash) reciprocity fee.
EUROPE INFORMATION:
Passports: A valid passport is required. If you are
traveling on a non-U.S. passport, please check with the appropriate
consulate for entry and/or visa requirements. It is your responsibility
to obtain the required documents.
Documentation
and Legal Requirements:
Each passenger
is responsible for determining what documentation is required, obtaining
all necessary documentation and complying with the laws of each country
flown from, through or into. If any passenger fails to obtain the proper
documentation, including but not limited to, any special documentation
which may be required for minors traveling with only one parent to
or from an international destination, or fails to comply with the laws
of any country flown from, through or into, such passenger will be
responsible to pay or reimburse Continental Airlines Vacations and/or
the relevant Supplier for any loss, damage, or expense suffered or
incurred by Continental Airlines Vacations or the Supplier as a result.
In no event is Continental Airlines Vacations or any Supplier liable
for any assistance or information provided to any passenger by any
agent or employee of Continental Airlines Vacations or Supplier which
information or assistance relates to required documents or compliance
with the laws of any country. Nor is either Continental Airlines Vacations
or any Supplier responsible for the consequences to any passenger for
such passenger’s failure to obtain any required documents or comply
with any applicable laws. Subject to applicable laws and regulations,
if Continental Airlines Vacations or any Supplier must, on government
order, return any passenger to their point of origin or elsewhere due
to the passenger’s inadmissibility into/or deportation from a country,
such passenger must pay the applicable fare for such return. Continental
Airlines Vacations or the Supplier may apply any unused carriage funds
paid by such passenger or any of passenger’s funds that are in the
possession of Continental Airlines Vacations or Supplier to purchase
such fare. Any fare collected for transportation to the point of refusal
of entry or deportation will not be refunded unless such refund is
required by the country. Continental Airlines Vacations reserves the
right to reproduce a travel document presented by airline passengers.
All rules, requirements and limitations of this section, include but
are not limited to, travel by minors.
Special
Request:
If you have special requests (such as
aisle seats, handicap, floor location, view, non-smoking room, etc.),
you must contact the Supplier directly after your reservation is confirmed.
Each request will be subject to availability. No reservation may be
canceled based on the failure of a Supplier to satisfy special requests.
Hotel:
Your name and reservation information has been
communicated to the hotel. You may be required to present a credit
card at time of hotel-check. Hotel amenities are at the discretion
of the hotel and are subject to change without notice. Hotel photos
are representative only and do not necessarily depict the actual room
in which guests will be accommodated. Minimum age restrictions may
apply for hotel check-in.
Rental
Car Restrictions:
Length of contract and car type
varies depending upon destination selected. Taxes and other government-imposed
or authorized charges, fuel, optional collision damage waiver, airport-imposed
taxes/fees, overtime and drop off charges, additional driver or young
renter's fee, and other optional subjects, if any, are extra. Rates
are higher for renters under age 25. Some airports impose a tax or
fee, ranging up to 10% if you choose to exit on shuttle bus. Minimum
rental charge is one day (24-hour period). A one-way rental charge
may be applied if a rental is not returned to the city where it originated.
Minimum age for renting a car is twenty-one (21) years, except where
state law provides otherwise. Renters must have a valid driver's license
and major credit card in their name. Renters without a major credit
card in their name must meet the cash rental requirements. Most major
credit cards are accepted and billed at the time of rental. A credit
card deposit or cash deposit is required. Cash deposit needs to be
140% of the complete rental period for Avis and $50 per day, with a
maximum of $200 per week for Alamo.
Payments/Deposits:
If choosing the cash deposit, the renter
must have verifiable home and employer telephone numbers and one year
of employment, including verification on weekends and holidays. Cash
rental deposits are subject to change, if choosing cash deposit, please
contact the rental company direct. If a client does not have a valid
credit card, the client will not be allowed to rent Minivans and Luxury
cars, such as: Cadillac's and Chrysler LH's. An underage driver fee
may apply. Coverage's are available at an additional charge. Unless
otherwise stated, rates do not include any governmentally (Federal,
State, County or City) imposed or authorized taxes or fees or airport
fees or concession recoupment fees which may apply. The rate does not
include fuel, purchase options are available. All rental car suppliers
reserve the right to refuse any request for rental. Renter must meet
standard age, driver, credit and cash rental requirements. Renters
are subject to having driving.
Currency:
If your vacation is taking you outside the
United States, it is advisable to exchange some money prior to travel.
Local banks, American Express, and AAA offices can issue travelers
checks in foreign currency. Once in the destination country, you can
exchange money at the airport, banks, American Express offices, and
most hotels. Keep in mind that each time you exchange money; you will
be charged a fee. Therefore, to cut down on conversion fees, you should
limit the number of times you change money. You can completely avoid
these fees by using your credit cards to make purchases. Foreign currency
rates fluctuate daily.
Baggage:
Each traveler is allowed to check the maximum
of two pieces of baggage free of charge, in addition to one carry-on,
plus one personal subject. Additional baggage may be accepted for an
excess baggage fee. All baggage must meet the size and weight limits
set by the airline. The one carry-on subject must be able to fit in
the overhead compartment or under the seat. Contact the airline directly
for excessive baggage fees and size and weight limits. Neither the
tour operator nor suppliers are responsible for lost or stolen baggage.
E-tickets:
Since your vacation has been electronically
ticketed you should have received an e-Document. For certain destinations
operated by Continental Code Share partners, you will receive paper
tickets by courier service. Failure to present paper tickets at check
in will result in the purchase of a new airline ticket, please contact
our Service Desk if have a question regarding your documentation. With
Electronic (E-ticket) all you need is your e-Document and government
issued photo I.D. Simply present identification and/or proof of citizenship
to receive a boarding pass. Continental Airlines Vacations purchases
are not eligible for any online ticketing OnePass® bonus miles or any
other online ticketing promotions offered by Continental Airline's
website, continental.com.
Confirmation:
Please reconfirm your flights 24 hours prior
to departure, both on the departure and the return by calling the airline
directly at 1 800 525-0280. You are also advised to arrive at the airport
at least 1 ½ hours prior to your departure. In the event of a delay
or cancellation, the airline is solely responsible for determining
and providing compensation in the event any is due. All passenger air
transportation is subject to the terms and conditions of the tariffs,
contracts of carriage, rules, regulations, policies, terms and conditions
(including Warsaw Convention notices) of the operating airline. Due
to heightened security at the airports, only ticketed airline passengers
will be allowed through security checkpoints.
Schedule
Changes:
Regular scheduled flights have been
selected for the vacation package; however, Continental Airlines Vacations
does not guarantee any specific flight schedule or equipment and will
not be held responsible for any changes that result in an increase
in airfare or deviation in original flight itinerary. The customer
will be responsible for any expenses incurred.
Vacation
Protection Plan:
Allows travelers to cancel
their vacation and receive a refund of the package price less the cost
of the policy. Certain non-refundable components are only covered in
the event you need to cancel for a covered reason such as illness,
injury or death. This plan also provides additional coverage for trip
interruption, trip delay, medical protection, baggage protection and
worldwide emergency assistance. Certain limited medical coverage and
additional benefits are also included. Reduction to the number of persons
traveling or changes made to dates, hotel, ground or air transportation
are considered revisions and will not be protected by the Vacation
Protection Plan.
Kids
Limited Protection Plan:
Exclusive for Disney and
Orlando vacation packages. In the event you need to cancel for covered
reasons such as illness, injury or death this plan allows travelers
to cancel their vacation and receive a refund of the package price
less the cost of the policy. Benefits are extended, at no additional
charge, to children under 17 years of age so long as they are sharing
accommodations with adults (s) and all accompanying adults (s) have
purchased their own Kids Protection Plan. This plan also provides additional
coverage for trip interruption, trip delay, medical protection and
baggage protection.
EUROPE
Passports:
A valid passport is required. If you
are traveling on a non-U.S. passport, please check with the appropriate
consulate for entry and/or visa requirements. It is your responsibility
to obtain the required documents. Contact our Service Desk for further
information and appropriate consulates. 1-800-301-3800.
Possible
Changes in Service:
If a Supplier notifies us
of changes in a service, we will use our good faith efforts to notify
you. If a change in the service occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled
flight, hotel, or car reservation, we will use our good faith efforts
to notify you of the changes by phone. Notification of changes occurring
more than 24 hours before the scheduled reservation will be by e-mail.
Continental Airlines Vacations is not liable for any changes in the
reservation that are beyond our control and are caused by, due to,
or are attributable to the Supplier. Continental Airlines Vacations
will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred due to
a change in service.
Group
Travel:
Groups consisting of the following must to
be booked by our Continental Airlines Vacations Group Desk:
- 10 plus passengers, originating from the same city, boarding the
same aircraft, to the same destination (domestic)
- 10 plus passengers, originating from different gateways, traveling
transatlantic on the same aircraft, to the same destination (international)
- 10 plus rooms
Any reservations booked with the above criteria, on multiple reservations
will be subject to cancellation by the applicable airline.

"Continental
Airlines Vacations Customer Satisfaction Pledge" :
Your
satisfaction is very important to us. That's why we give you our utmost
assurance that we will stand by our product to ensure you have a fulfilling
vacation experience. Therefore, if any tangible component of any Continental
Airlines Vacations package is not delivered as described in your travel
documents (except under circumstances beyond the reasonable control
of the tour operator), we will refund the value of the undelivered
component plus issue a travel credit which may be used for future Continental
Airlines Vacations packages, provided proper documentation of the claim
is received within 30 days after completion of your Continental Airlines
Vacations package. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties.
We make no other warranties or representations of any kind, express
or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including without limitation
any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose, or any implied warranty arising from course of performance,
course of dealing, or usage of trade. Claims must be postmarked and
submitted to:CONTINENTAL AIRLINES VACATIONS, P.O. BOX 1525,
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA 33302 WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER COMPLETION OF YOUR
VACATION.
Responsibility:
Packages are operated by Certified Vacations
Group, Inc. (the "operator"). Certified Vacations Group, Inc. packages
and operates these Continental Airlines Vacations packages solely as
an independent contractor and not as an agent, employee, partner, or
joint venture of Continental Airlines. Continental Airlines is not
liable for any claim of any nature arising out of or in connection
with air or other transportation, services, or other features, performed
or occurring in connection with any tour, other than as provided in
the contract of carriage governing Continental Airlines provision of
air transportation in conjunction with these vacation packages. The
tour services described in this brochure, including without limitation
transportation, lodging, and sightseeing, are provided by carriers,
hoteliers, and other suppliers that are independent contractors and
not the agents, employees, partners, or joint ventures of the Operator
or Continental Airlines. The Operator issues tickets, vouchers and
other travel documents for such services merely as an agent for the
companies that furnish such services. Such tickets, vouchers, and other
travel documents are subject to all terms and conditions of the respective
suppliers (some of which may limit or exclude the supplier's liability).
The Operator is not responsible for typographical and/or printing errors.
Neither the Operator nor Continental Airlines, nor any subagent of
either of them, shall be responsible for any loss of or damage to property
or death or injury to person, resulting from any act or omission of
any supplier providing any tour service or any other person or entity
or caused by strike, war, weather, quarantine, sickness, government
restriction or regulation, or any other cause beyond its reasonable
control. The tour participant expressly waives all rights which he
or she may have against the Operator in connection with the foregoing.
These terms and conditions are governed by Florida law without regard
to principles of conflict of law. Jurisdiction for any action relating
to any Continental Airlines Vacation package shall be in Broward County,
Florida. Under no circumstances is the Operator to be construed as
a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passengers or his
or her baggage and belongings.
